Creativity *Is* The Essense Of Life?

Now reading Steal Like An Artist of Austin Kleon.

It occurs to me that these books provide solid kickoff for any artistic life.

That is, Mr. Kleon talks life and death from first chapter, which is, on the one hand, is all the same motivational speak of «imagine your funeral». This is a good thing per se.

But on the other hand, creative life is *the only life *worth living. There is some merit to judge your life as to how creative it was (*in the image and likeness, *right?). And how not-automatic it was.

This comes closely to the notion of self-remembering. Doing creative work, aiming at yet uknown result (remember «Most important part of my creative work is that I do not know what am I doing» attributed to some well-established musician), in partily unknown circumstances, probably with new tools yet to be learnt.

It is in such frame you may live your best life, stretch yourself to some new horizons.

To live a creative life is a valuable endeavour.
